Congratulations Bev on receiving The IGFA 50lb Line Class World Record Yelloweye Rockfish!

Beverly Seltzer landed this  yelloweye rock fish on August 24, 2006.   Bev is also known  as Baja Bev and has been featured on the Ronnie Kovach, "Fishing Ventures" show  on Fox West as,  The Legend of Baja Bev.  She is also the author of a, "must have book,"   The Lady and the Lingcod.

"On the way in we stopped by Albion Fisheries to unload our catch and I had the big yelloweye weighed. It tipped the scale at 20 pounds so I took a photo of it on the scale and figured we would measure it later if it was indeed a potential record. As it turns out, a 20-pounder tops the current women's 30# line class record, as well as the 50#, so I'm submitting the catch to IGFA. I was using a custom built Forecast rod by Alibi Custom Rods, and the reel was a Penn 525 Mag."
